Comedy Author Plugs Book Without Any Self-Deprecating Humor (Rare)

My name is Shy MacShannon and I am a (soon-to-be published) Comedy Fantasy author. I’m currently working on my debut Chuck the Chosen, a comedic fantasy about a 34-year-old guy who just wants to know if this whole chosen thing comes with any benefits, like a pay cheque perhaps.

Up-Up-Update! (Insert Airhorn Noises Here)

Ehhh, I’m past the halfway mark and stuck again at the exact same spot I was stuck in when writing the first draft….ehhhhh!

I am fine. I swear I’m telling the truth. My mental health isn’t even remotely on the decline and I’m feeling just so confident! *Blinks into void*

Honestly, as much as it sucks that I’m stuck, it’s pretty exciting that I’m writing this book in first place. I got an idea on how I could continue this story and potentially make it easier to write a second book.

I’m currently working on chapter 11

“No, I’m Not Upset That My Brownie Roommate Got a Girlfriend Before Me.”

Spoiler alert, Chuck is in fact a little upset! Mainly because he’s been ditched and now needs to find Henry again without being murdered. I’ll give no further explanation.

I also finally made a newsletter! I’m the only one who has signed up so far! It turned out cool though and I’m pretty proud of it so I’m just going to insert some shots so I feel like someone other then me will see it.

Other then that, I have no other updates. I won’t hear back about any short stories or my children’s book until Ma/ June. I’m just a sitting duck here. *sigh*

Oh, You Didn’t Ask to Know What I’m Reading But I’m Going to Tell You Anyways! Haha, Sorry!

I’m now on “The Butcher’s Masquerade” by Matt Dinniman. My friend is patiently waiting for me to catch up to her (and by patiently, I mean not at all). This series is absolute insanity!

The message I like is “You will not break me.” That can be interpretated whatever way you wish but how I view it is not loosing yourself, or your heart. The series follows people forced to commit atrocious acts in order to survive. The idea of not breaking, of not letting yourself become what they want you to be is a dang good message.

Anyways, that’s all for now. Stay writing cause that’s the only way that frigging book is getting written (unfortunately).
