My name is Shy MacShannon. I am a writer and avid reader who in retrospect is no different and no more unique then any of the many writers and avid readers that exist in this world. The uniqueness that you bring to the table lies within being completely yourself in every beautiful and insane way possible and enjoying every single second of it. I hope to write beautiful prose that makes someone laugh or cry, but both if I'm lucky!
My Story
I am a Canadian, a Newfie to be exact. You bet your bottom dollar I blame every ounce of my weirdness on that fact.
I grew up with amazing and supportive parents and for that I am greatful. I do often wonder if my Mom regrets reading to me so much as a child considering the large book collection I have. I am proud to announce that she caved and got me another bookshelf for Christmas so I am taking it as her admittance to defeat.
I often spew facts about the books I’m reading at any passersby. Friends at this point have just come to accept that I will always suggest books to them no matter whether they want them or not. Do I bully my friends into reading you ask? Definitely not, I don’t know what gave you that impression.
