I have once again entered the querying trenches for my children’s book. I currently have to wait 6-8 weeks before I find out if this agent will take me on. Crossed fingers!

The truth is it was a long time coming. It’s definitely exhausting to say the least to continuously put your work out there hoping that someone, somewhere will think it’s good enough.

But I’m grateful that I manage to continue to love the writing I’ve done. Not to mention the support system I’ve cultivated does wonders for a writer’s self-esteem.

                  What else is new?

I also sent out a short story to a literary magazine in Ireland, so that’s exciting. However, that’s a good 4 month wait…

Being a writer certainly teaches a person patience…a virtue I sorely lack.

I am currently working on that super-secret project I’m still not willing to talk about as well as another short story I think could have some great potential for a literary magazine.

And I think I might be posting another short story here as well at some point, maybe this week or next!

Anyways, it’s short and sweet this time around. Stay writing, stay healthy, and mind the dirt in the trenches.
