I decided, admittedly on a bit of a whim, to put my title up on my social media. On IG it was in the form of a desktop background reveal for August and on Threads it was a poem…I guess?

                  I just wanted to do something fun, sue me! And considering I don’t have any cover art yet and I’m not even done draft 2, this felt like a simple way to maybe get a little more hype going on around the book (well, I guess just hype, not more hype. Pretty sure I’m the only one hyped for this book at the moment…but that’s okay!).

I put up a slide show as well giving an idea of what this book will be. The vibes, if you will. I also just wanted to give some information on the direction I went and why.

                  I also have found myself working on my “for funsies” project and can’t help but think it might end up being my next book. I have loads of time to decide which of two options will be the second book I publish. As of right now, it will my epic fantasy first, a comedy second, and the second book in the epic fantasy third. At least that’s my current idea.

                  Okay, so it’s only fair I share the title on here as well, right?

This title took much longer to settle on then any other story I have ever written. I typically come up with the title first or somewhere at the beginning stages of a story forming (I’ve even come up with a title and had to form a story around it because I loved it so much). But I’m really excited for this. The series will be called “The Mere Mortals” series which will make sense if you eventually read the book once I’ve published.

Anyways, I barely have an update on word count. Been feeling a bit sluggish lately and I’m trying to listen to my mind and body. Take it easy and all that. Success isn’t really worth it if you break yourself in the process!
