Happy flipping Sunday y’all.

It is a beautiful day! Not because the sun is shining and the summer is summering here in Canada. But because ya girl did what she said she was going to do.

                  That’s right, I hit 50k.

I apologize for the lack of effects; I’m an unpaid writer therefore that shite isn’t in the budget.

I sat down to write earlier in the morning and was TERRIFIED I wasn’t going to accomplish it today. I was so blocked. I started questioning whether first person was a good idea and then panicked because I didn’t know how the scene I was writing could honestly work in third.

But then I chilled out. Googled novels with multi-pov that were first person. And kept writing.

The goal is 90k but I’ve given myself permission to simply write until the story feels finished, even if that ends up being under. I know once I start in on draft’s 2 and 3 I’ll be adding in a lot more detail so my word count will likely rise once I get to that stage. There are scenes I just know could use way more descriptors and the level of emotional depth isn‘t where I’d like it to be.

With that being said, I think I’ll give myself a break from project prophecy tomorrow and give some attention to project ghosted so it stops feeling neglected. Starting to worry it might pop out of my computer and strangle me or something.

Word Count

Project Prophecy:50,290

Project Ghosted:3389

Stay writing or your manuscript might come to life (and that would be a real bummer for those who write horror)

Oh! And I realized I was doing this whole internet thing wrong. You can follow me on IG , Threads , Medium , and Substack
