If you’re a writer like me than you know how good of a feeling you get when you’ve successfully made someone feel something by reading your work. And if you’re a reader like me than you know how much you chase the high of writing that makes you emotional.

And folks, I did that!!!

I successfully made not one, but two people tear up reading a short story I wrote. When I tell you that I was floating on a cloud, I mean it. It wasn’t even cloud 9, it was more like cloud 12 with how high I was for the two days following such a compliment.

I’m hoping the short story in question will garner me some writing credits. I’ve sent it off to Elegant Magazine and Friction Magazine so I’ve got a month to wait for the first and four whole months for the ladder.

Cross your fingers for me folks!

Also, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great people at a brand new literary magazine called FairyFolk. It just launched today so you should check it out! I will have an ongoing column on mythology and all that goodness that will be posting on the 25th of every month so help a girl out and read it please!
