Something I’ve realized about myself is that I am really really bad at sticking with one project. I like to dip my toes in a bunch of buckets and see what happens.
The plus side to this is how useful it is in determining what I actually am interested in putting my time and effort into. It also makes it very clear what I am not at all intrigued enough by to keep doing.
What I’ve learned, or rather stopped ignoring, is that I don’t like being told what to write. I also don’t like confined strucuture and extremely hard deadlines. The last bit I’m trying to break myself of though because deadlines are such an integral part of writing and publishing that I just need to get the heck over it.
With that being said, this is the second post! Finally! After I think 2 months?!?
I’ve been reading a lot of dystopia which has led to a fun little idea I’ll be trying to send off to a literary magazine in May. I’ve also been busy writing for a literary magazine that will go live in May that I’m excited for! If you’re interested, check out FairyFolk Literary magazine on IG, threads and right here on wordpress!
I’m also testing my deadline abilities by attempting to write for a gaming website so cross your fingers for me that it will go well.
Finally, I think I have finally landed on a concept to self-publish that I think I’ll be trying to get off the ground end of May, so keep your eyes out for that.
Just a fun little update from me!
If you want to see what I’ve been reading you can follow me on Storygraph, my username is ladyshyly!
Until next time,
Write fearlessly, edit ruthlessly, and read endlessly.
